Largest Supplier of Tarkett Products, Tarkett Johnsonite Raised Square Pewter Stair Tread 48 inch Square Nose Gray Rubber Stair Tread 48 inch x 12.5 inch is built to withstand daily foot traffic while maintaining a clean, squared edge along each step. The Pewter gray finish brings a modern, versatile look to commercial and institutional settings without overpowering other flooring or interior choices. Measuring 48 inches in length and 12.5 inches wide, each tread fits standard stair dimensions but also provides extra width for broader steps, giving installers added flexibility in high-traffic corridors or wide staircases.

The raised square surface serves a practical function, supporting slip resistance without trapping as much dirt and debris as deeper patterns tend to do. It's an easy call for renovation projects-or specifying new construction-where a consistent, low-maintenance surface is a must. The square nose profile gives a clear, defined step edge with precise lines that contribute to a professional look wherever these are installed, from healthcare to education to residential buildings with shared stairways. The choice of rubber for the material cuts down on noise and provides a softer step than metal or composite options, something that tends to be noticed after a few days of regular use.

This model is part of the Angle Fit series, which helps ensure that the fit works well with a broad range of stair structures and allows most installers to get things sorted without a fuss. The 5-year warranty from Tarkett covers manufacturing issues, showing confidence in its long-term performance. With the product made in the United States, it also meets preferences for domestically sourced building materials-a detail that matters for many institutional buyers and project managers. Tarkett's Johnsonite stair treads are often found in demanding environments like schools and hospitals because they're reliable, stand up well under frequent use, and hold their appearance even after heavy daily traffic. The matte surface resists scuffs, and any wear over time appears subtle rather than dramatic, so maintenance is straightforward.
