Lowest Price Online Tarkett Johnsonite Raised Square Fawn Stair Tread Brown Square Nose 48 inch x 12.5 inch delivers reliable rubber protection for stairways. This stair tread was built for areas that see daily foot traffic, where slip resistance and long-term durability are at the top of the list. Johnsonite's raised square profile helps keep shoes from sliding, and the brown 'Fawn' color adapts to a range of commercial and institutional settings without calling attention to scuffs and wear.

At 48 inches in length and 12.5 inches wide, each tread covers most standard stairs in a single piece, reducing the need for cutting or piecing together multiple sections. The square nose finish delivers a crisp, professional edge, reducing trip hazards and delivering uniformity across every step. Rubber construction makes these treads both forgiving underfoot and much quieter than hard-surface alternatives-a practical choice in schools, hospitals, or public facilities where noise matters.

The 5-year warranty is a mark of confidence from Tarkett, backing up a material choice that holds up against abrasion, impacts, and a variety of everyday messes. Each tread is manufactured in the United States, which may be a requirement for some government or institutional projects. Whether you're refitting a busy stairwell or specifying new construction, these treads offer consistent sizing and the flexibility of the angle fit model to handle subtle variations in tread depth.

Installation usually calls for adhesive, and while the product doesn't include it, Tarkett's stair solution lineup will accommodate a range of subfloor types and site requirements. These treads help prevent slips without feeling rough if you're climbing barefoot or wearing thinner-soled footwear, and the texture doesn't trap grime-in most situations, a mild cleaner and mop keep them looking presentable.

If long-term value matters as much as upfront cost, you'll appreciate that these treads strike a balance between professional-grade materials and year-over-year cost savings. They're a straightforward, practical choice, and ideal for renovations where legacy color palettes call for something that blends in rather than stands out.
