Fast Shipping Tarkett Johnsonite Raised Square Grey Haze Stair Tread delivers durable rubber construction in a 60 inch square nose profile for stairway upgrades. If you're looking for a solution that stands up to the kind of foot traffic you expect in educational, commercial, or institutional environments, this stair tread hits a solid balance between visual simplicity and heavy-duty build.

This tread is cut to 60 inches in length-long enough to fit most standard commercial stairs without awkward seams or piecing together multiple sections. At 12.5 inches in width, it covers both the tread surface and the nosing with a continuous sheet, reducing the risk of unprotected exposed edges. The raised square finish does more than provide traction underfoot; it also breaks up wear patterns, which helps extend the tread's appearance over months and even years of use. The square nose, part of the Angle Fit model, offers consistent visual lines while ensuring a clean transition from the horizontal run to the vertical drop-important for both safety and aesthetics in public spaces.

This is a genuine rubber product, not vinyl, so it feels denser under foot and holds up better to abrasion from shoes, carts, and equipment. The color is Gray Haze-a practical mid-tone gray that hides scuffs and dirt, coordinates easily with a wide range of floor finishes, and works in both modern and traditional interiors. The finish isn't high-gloss, which helps reduce slips and doesn't show every mark. Rubber's natural resilience is also a factor for noise absorption, especially in buildings with echo-prone corridors or open stairwells.

Being Made in the United States supports local production standards and can be a deciding factor when specifying materials for LEED or other compliance projects. The product comes with a 5-year warranty from Tarkett, a detail that signals a higher level of reliability-especially important on job sites where replacements are costly or disruptive. There's no mention of adhesives or extra accessories included, so it's a good idea to consult with your installer about preferred adhesives to suit both the rubber construction and your subfloor.
