Order Online Save Money with the Tarkett Johnsonite Raised Square Brown Stair Tread 72 inch Square Nose Rubber, engineered for consistent stair edge coverage at 72 by 12.5 inches. This stair tread stands out for its raised square texture, offering dependable traction underfoot and a polished look suitable for both busy public spaces and everyday commercial settings. The brown color is practical - it conceals everyday marks and maintains a professional appearance, even in heavily used hallways or stairwells.

Each tread measures 72 inches long and 12.5 inches wide, fitting standard stair dimensions and allowing for a seamless application along the step's length. The square nose profile protects the front edge of each stair from daily impact, which can extend the lifespan of both the tread and the underlying surface. The surface pattern isn't just for looks; it delivers stability with every step, helping reduce the risk of slips without requiring intense upkeep. Cleaning is manageable - debris tends to stay on the surface, so it's easy to sweep or wipe down as part of routine maintenance.

The tread is formed from commercial-grade rubber, a tough material that handles regular abrasion, foot traffic, and exposure to cleaning agents. It's flexible enough to ensure snug coverage along individual treads but tough enough to withstand years of wear. The 5-year warranty signals long-term value in environments where replacing stair surfaces every year isn't practical. The brown shade works with a wide range of flooring colors, making it adaptable across large facilities or smaller runs with varied palettes.

Produced in the United States, this model adheres to local standards for safety and quality. The Angle Fit model simplifies installation, even for those fitting out a full staircase rather than just a single step. No specialized glues are required; standard adhesives offer secure application, though a water-based option is recommended for facilities that prioritize indoor air quality or need reduced VOCs.

Sometimes stair products can feel like a compromise between function and appearance, but this option bridges that gap. The raised profile offers sure-footed stability while staying visually subtle, so it doesn't draw undue attention. Moreover, compatibility with Johnsonite's broader range of stair accessories enables a uniform look throughout stairwells or across floors without mismatches or awkward transitions.
