Best Service Gray Tarkett Johnsonite Greenbluff Color Splash Raised Square Stair Tread, measuring 48 inches by 12.25 inches, delivers lasting safety for commercial stairs. If you're after something that can handle constant foot traffic and blend right into a professional environment, this tread gets it right. The profile is purely functional: a raised square rubber pattern that supplies grip without feeling rough underfoot. The gray color isn't trying to dominate a space-just brings a low-key confidence and sits naturally with the type of neutral palettes seen in schools and institutional corridors.

The scale of each tread lands at 48 inches in length and runs 12.25 inches wide-substantial enough for standard stair runs but not oversized, so installation doesn't require extra cut-downs in most cases. This one carries a square edge that gives a finished look when viewed straight on, pairing with a range of architectural styles from industrial to minimalist. As for the build, it's all rubber-solid and resilient-which makes maintenance easy and reduces the chances of slips. Rubber treads like this aren't prone to those jagged gouges or permanent stains you might get with softer materials, and the density here means you're not reordering replacements every other year.

There are no extra logos or shiny inserts. You get the Color Splash series' distinctive but subdued gray that reads professional and practical. This is the kind of tread that disappears into busy interiors when viewed from a distance, but up close, that raised square finish does its job: it channels water, offers tactile feedback, and presents just enough textural change that even wet or muddy shoes can get a solid foothold. Rolling carts or facility cleaning equipment pass over the rise and fall of the pattern without bumping or catching, a detail that shows up in smoother day-to-day operation for janitorial staff.

Manufactured in the United States, this tread meets expectations for US regulatory compliance and shortens the wait for shipping and installation if that's a concern. The 5-year warranty isn't just a box to check-it's a genuine assurance that you're not just patching over a stairwell for the short term. Facility managers, in particular, tend to prioritize solutions that won't come apart or fade before a planned update cycle, and this model holds up against those pressures year after year.
