Best Prices Flexco 48 inch Heavy Duty Smooth Rubber Stair Tread in graphite gray features a square profile and ample 12 1/4 inch width. This stair tread is built for serious use-think commercial corridors, institutional stairwells, and anywhere that faces consistent, heavy foot traffic. The solid rubber composition offers durability and a stable feel underfoot without giving out over time. Every step lands on a surface that stays firm and resists the type of wear you see in lighter, less substantial options.

Graphite gray strikes a practical balance-dark enough to conceal daily scuffs, but neutral enough to blend in with a wide range of flooring or wall colors. The surface is smooth for easy maintenance, letting you handle daily grime or unexpected spills with nothing more than a quick mop. That clean, square profile means there's no curling at the edges, no awkward raised seams, just a straight transition from step to riser that stands up to repeated use in public areas.

Measuring 48 inches in length and 12 1/4 inches wide, this model fits most commercial stairs from the start-no piecing together awkward segments or compensating for gaps at the edge. Installation is straightforward, especially since the depth and profile mean you won't be forced to cut corners or adjust for uneven landings. It's American-made, so there's a consistency in the color and finish that holds up across multiple shipments and large installations. The heavy duty Smooth Series rubber is known for its solid feel-contractors and facilities teams appreciate not having to question reliability on every flight.

This stair tread includes a 10-year warranty to back up its performance claim. Even if you never need to use it, knowing that coverage is in place is a reassurance for property managers and facility supervisors alike. It's also a practical option for environments where slip resistance must balance with easy cleaning-medical centers, retailers, or education facilities where appearance matters alongside function. Color holds up well, which lowers the frequency of cosmetic replacements or retouching in public spaces.

For anyone debating between vinyl and a smooth rubber tread like this, switching to Flexco's heavyweight solution usually means you avoid issues with shrinkage, cracking, or adhesion failures over time. The finish is uniform and the material stays put; installers often note that once these treads are in place, they stay. If you want a stair tread that meets commercial demands and looks professional year after year, this graphite version is an easy fit for most project lists.
