Best Savings Tarkett Johnsonite Raised Round Medium Grey Stair Tread 48 inch Square Nose features a gray rubber build intended for reliable stair safety. For commercial or institutional settings, this stair tread balances day-to-day practicality with a subtle, neutral appearance. It's cut to a precise 48-inch length and 12.5-inch width, a size that fully covers most standard steps with a neat square nose profile. The raised round surface texture isn't just for looks-each dome serves as functional traction to help prevent slips without feeling abrasive underfoot.

The medium grey rubber holds up well under daily wear, camouflaging dust and scuffs better than lighter or glossier finishes. If you've spent any time replacing stair treads, you'll appreciate how this one resists curling at the edges and keeps a consistent appearance over years of use. These details are why products like this show up in high-traffic schools, clinics, municipal buildings-environments where longevity and simple maintenance matter more than flash.

This tread falls under the Angle Fit model, cut to support a snug fit with minimal gaps or overlap, which can save you time and frustration during installation. Flexibility in the material helps you contour each piece to both wood and concrete stairs, and if you want added security, it's made to work with standard stair tread adhesives (sold separately). The uniformity across each tread means you're not fighting with mismatched colors or inconsistent thicknesses.

The five-year warranty is worth noting-it's there in case you encounter manufacturing defects that impact performance. Color selection here leans practical; medium grey is just dark enough to keep dust and traffic marks from standing out, but still light enough to keep a stairwell from looking severe. Crafts in the United States, so you know what you're getting meets domestic manufacturing standards and quality controls.

Focus on the details: every tread comes with that familiar raised round texture across the step, providing grip for both busy foot traffic and rolling carts, while remaining compliant with most commercial building codes for slip resistance. Unlike harsher tread surfaces, this one provides confidence underfoot without causing wear spots on shoes or equipment wheels.

Simply put, it's a workhorse stair tread for projects that need proven results at scale. You get bulk-ready pricing and consistency without sacrificing appearance or everyday function.
