Best Savings Tarkett Johnsonite Cool Metal One Piece Stair Tread Riser 72 inch x 19 inch rubber is a durable solution for stair protection in busy spaces. For commercial and institutional environments where foot traffic never really tapers off, small details like a single piece rubber tread can go a long way in reducing daily wear and minimizing ongoing maintenance. This particular model is designed around simplicity: one continuous 72-inch length that covers both tread and riser, so you have fewer seams to worry about-and less likelihood of anything coming loose halfway through its service life.

What stands out here is the raised round profile running up the entire face of the stair tread. These slightly elevated grips provide reliable traction underfoot, even when you're rushing down with an armful of folders or fielding the after-lunch crowd. The finish doesn't just serve a function; it also brings a modern visual cue to the stairwell, lending a subtle, metallic gray tone that plays well with a broad range of flooring and wall surface colors. The 'Cool Metal' color itself is neutral but present-enough to offer clear step definition without calling too much attention to itself.

The 19-inch width is generous enough for most standard stairs, giving you consistent edge-to-edge coverage that feels stable with every step. Measuring exactly 72 inches in length, these treads save time during installation since there's typically no piecing required on standard flights. And since it's a true one-piece unit, you streamline the procurement and install process - something facilities managers and contractors will appreciate when aiming for tight timelines or managing ongoing renovations.

Material here is commercial-grade rubber. It's chosen for its resilience; stalls out abrasions, shrugs off chemical cleaning cycles, and doesn't scuff up the way cheaper PVC or composite alternatives might. The warranty tells you something about product confidence-Tarkett backs it for 5 years, reflecting an expectation that it'll handle high-impact settings without issues. All production takes place in the United States, which helps with consistency and quality assurance while meeting many project specs that require domestically produced materials.

These treads are adaptable across a broad range of project scales, whether you need just a handful for a faculty building or a larger rollout for a multi-story office block. The one-piece form fits flush on wood, concrete, or even metal stair cores, provided the substrate is dry and secure, though you'll want to source adhesives and nosing separately for the cleanest result. A raised round profile is not just an aesthetic; it's a practical touch for keeping stairs safe during rain, snow, spills, or even the occasional coffee accident in the hallway.

Each stair tread riser offers a versatile solution to replace aging carpets, sheet vinyl, or old wood, cutting down on slip hazards while simplifying your cleaning routines. If your current setup is patchy or constantly chewing through repairs, this kind of rubber stair tread is a practical move toward reducing costly call-backs for years to come. See more details and installation guidance on the vendor's category page for information specific to adhesives, edge profiles, and matching colorways.

Ultimately, the Tarkett Johnsonite Cool Metal Raised Round 72-inch One Piece Stair Tread Riser quietly does what it's designed to do: protect stairs, reduce falls, and keep your stairwell looking sharp-even as it works behind the scenes of the most trafficked corridors in the building.
