Most Popular Tarkett Johnsonite Husk Gray Color Splash Stair Tread 72 inch x 12.25 inch delivers slip-resistant rubber protection in a square profile for busy commercial environments. This stair tread is a go-to solution for facilities looking for reliable safety features paired with an appearance that maintains a professional standard, fitting well in offices, schools, and retail spaces. Produced in the United States, it stands out for consistently high quality and easier access to domestic supply channels.

Measuring 72 inches long, the tread provides full step coverage across wide staircases, avoiding gaps or joints that could interrupt foot traffic. With a width of 12.25 inches, it protects a broad area and aligns with typical code requirements seen in commercial and institutional settings. The square edge clearly defines the transition from tread to riser, resulting in a crisp, balanced edge that supports a variety of project requirements. Husk Gray is a flexible, neutral color choice that complements a wide spectrum of flooring finishes, helping the stairs integrate into both subtle and more striking interior palettes.

The raised round surface texture helps supply dependable grip-an asset in places where slips might otherwise occur due to tracked-in moisture or dust. Rubber provides solid performance in terms of durability, has noticeable noise-reducing properties, and offers enough cushioning underfoot to lessen fatigue during periods of heavy use. The manufacturer's 5-year warranty confirms that the product is expected to hold up reliably under daily foot traffic.

Proper installation requires an adhesive suited to your subfloor and the level of expected use, ensuring that the tread remains firmly in place over time. Upkeep doesn't require elaborate routines-routine cleaning is all that's needed to let the tread retain its practical good looks. As part of Tarkett's Color Splash series, it gives you the flexibility to match stair components within larger projects, whether your goal is consistency or to highlight the stairs as a visual accent.
