Best Prices Tarkett Johnsonite Dungeness Crab Color Splash Stair Tread Raised Round 48 inch in gray offers durable rubber construction and a practical 12.25 inch width for high-traffic areas. This stair tread is engineered for those looking to balance resilience with a straightforward, modern profile. The main advantage here is the 48-inch length paired with a square edge and raised round surface finish-enough coverage for most commercial or institutional steps. Made in the United States, it's a practical fit when durability and performance are priorities.

The raised round profile isn't just cosmetic; those textured circular grips run across the entire tread width, providing stable footing in entryways, office buildings, apartment complexes, or anywhere you want an extra margin of slip resistance. The 12.25-inch width lines up with standard stair dimensions, so installation feels straightforward and the look is clean and uniform down the riser. The gray Dungeness Crab color has a muted, businesslike tone-neutral enough to coordinate with nearly any flooring, and strong enough not to show every scuff or scrape from daily shoes, rolling carts, or moving furniture.

This Color Splash model is constructed entirely of rubber for a combination of comfort underfoot and lasting resilience. Rubber as a material absorbs impact and tends to outlast vinyl alternatives in busy settings, making this tread an easy pick for upgrading safety and reducing maintenance over time. The square edge sits flush with the stair, so there are no sharp angles for traffic to catch, while the 48-inch length means fewer seams for trips or peeling. That means quieter, safer foot traffic in your space-and because the finish is integrated, you're not dealing with surface layers that separate from the base after a year or two.

A five-year warranty covers the tread for added peace of mind, underscoring its suitability for environments that expect steady footfall. While not every stair tread in this segment is made in the USA, this one is-an extra detail for those who prefer domestic sourcing. For installation, adhesives aren't included with purchase (check your application needs and building code before deciding between pressure-sensitive or epoxy-based varieties). Accessories, risers, and corner pieces paired from the Johnsonite catalog will match the tread's profile and finish for a seamless end result. Whether you're handling school, healthcare, or commercial space upgrades, the raised round finish and square profile do their job without demanding attention-just effective, lasting coverage in a neutral gray shade that gets out of the way and works hard.
