In Stock Now, the Roppe Smoke Square Nose Raised Square Stair Tread 72 Inch delivers coverage and slip resistance for commercial stairs in a muted gray finish. Manufactured from durable rubber and finished with a raised square profile, this tread is well-suited for busy environments that need solutions built to last. The Smoke shade-a medium, understated gray-works especially well where scuffs and traces of dirt are persistent issues, as it helps to mask daily wear while maintaining a tidy, professional appearance.

With a full 72-inch length, this tread provides continuous protection on a standard commercial step, preventing the need for seams or patchwork strips that can interrupt safety or aesthetics. Its 12.31-inch width covers the run of most staircases from riser to edge, without leaving exposed areas that quickly show wear. The square nose front delivers a smooth, consistent border that resists curling or separation, even under repeated foot traffic and rigorous cleaning routines. Raised square accents help minimize slips by channeling water and collection of grit, which also simplifies maintenance in common areas prone to spills or mud.

Produced in the USA and covered by a 10-year warranty, this stair tread adheres to strict quality standards that facility managers and contractors rely on for longevity and consistency. The solid rubber construction holds up to impacts, fluctuations in temperature, and routine use-bearings that cut down on long-term replacement cycles common with lesser options. If you've managed stairways in schools, healthcare buildings, or offices, you'll recognize the need for materials that don't chip, warp, or lose shape as quickly as budget alternatives.

Installation is intended to be straightforward: pair these treads with the adhesives recommended by Roppe (sold separately) on both wood and concrete steps. The Smoke color is uniform across every piece, so replacements and future expansions remain visually consistent. The square nose profile is intended for applications requiring a flush front-no overhang, no trip hazard, just a professional finish that meets both safety and aesthetic needs.

Every raised accent along the tread's surface is there for a practical reason-helping collect grit and provide stable footing in all conditions. For facility owners and maintenance staff, this means a product that not only enhances safety but also minimizes the ongoing resource drain of repairs or frequent touch-ups. Every aspect-material, profile, finish, and warranty-ties back to commercial requirements rather than residential shortcuts.
