Hassle Free Delivery. The Roppe Heavy Duty Smooth Stair Tread Dark Gray 48 Inch Rubber is offered in both square and round edge profiles, providing reliable stair protection and a smooth finish for busy facilities-Save Now.

If you manage a space where stair traffic is a constant-schools, commercial entryways, public corridors-this tread gives you an option you can specify once and trust to do its job for years. At 48 inches long and 12.31 inches wide, the coverage is generous enough to fit most standard stairs without piecing together multiple sections. The tread is made from a firm rubber compound, so you get durability and a comfortable underfoot feel without the edges curling or showing premature wear. There's a subtle cushioning effect but the tread doesn't flex or compress in a way that would feel unstable.

The dark gray color handles the visual demands of high-traffic locations by hiding dust, scuffs, and daily blemishes better than lighter shades. The smooth surface streamlines your maintenance routine-just sweep and mop and the tread looks reset without much effort. The color stays professional, which is a relief if you're overseeing aesthetics in a place where daily impressions matter. That smooth finish also projects a tidy, orderly look, even when your facility is running at full capacity.

Edge profiles are a detail that's easy to overlook until you're standing on the stairs. You can choose between a square profile, which delivers a modern, almost architectural step-off that works well in new builds or recently renovated spaces, or the round profile for a softer, more traditional line that fits older buildings or where you want to blend rather than contrast existing materials. Either way, the tread transitions neatly from one step to the next with nothing exposed or left unfinished at the edges.

Installation gives you some flexibility. The tread is compatible with most standard adhesives, so you're not locked into a specific solution-use the adhesive that works best with your subfloor or environmental needs. You also get a full ten-year warranty from an established manufacturer in the commercial flooring field, which is about as much long-term confidence as you'll find in this category.

This tread is produced in the USA, supporting domestic manufacturing and handling the kinds of compliance checks and standards that come with it.
