Quick Ship Flexco 48 inch 701 Black Brown Radial II Adjustable Nose Heavy Duty Rubber Stair Tread offers 48 inch by 12 inch square profile stair protection in durable rubber. This model is part of the Radial II series, seen frequently in commercial and institutional projects where every detail matters. If you've dealt with stairs that take a beating from daily foot traffic, this is one of those solutions built for the long haul. The square profile creates a uniform appearance across steps, and the black brown finish gives a subdued, practical look - it reads professional, doesn't show scuffs easily, and blends in well with most color schemes.

At exactly 48 inches in length and 12 inches wide, this stair tread sits at a sweet spot for standard stairs in offices, schools, or multi-unit buildings. The adjustable nose is especially useful for environments where you can't count on every step being perfectly uniform, or where multiple stair dimensions are in play. These treads accommodate slight variances without the kinds of gapping or awkward fit you see with rigid alternatives. The heavy duty rubber material isn't just about grip (although it does that well), it's there for longevity - resisting cracking, warping, or premature wear, even with significant use. With a 10-year warranty behind it, it's clear Flexco expects this tread to stick around.

Installation is straightforward, but if you've ever worked with adhesives and worried about compatibility or bond strength, it's best to consult the manufacturer for recommended adhesives specific to rubber stair treads of this size and thickness. Accessories like nosings, risers, or end pieces may be available in matching or complementary looks to finish out a full staircase application. If you need multiple color options, the black brown available here is often chosen for its ability to hide dirt and coordinate with a range of other finishes.

This product is made in the United States - a detail that matters when you're tracking sourcing or compliance for commercial projects. Flexco's 48 inch Radial II model isn't the least expensive stair tread you'll find, but the durability and industry-standard warranty make it a solid option for property managers, contractors, and facilities teams prioritizing a balance of performance and value.
